I'm pretty much doing the same, PA1/PA6 in Sept looking to focus more on lawn care and mowing next year. I have been looking through the Lawnsmith website just now, and there seems to be quite a bit of info. Hopefully I'll be able to work out how much to charge by spring too :)
I found the Dr.D.G.Hessayon 'The Lawn Expert' to be a good read and he makes everything very basic which is nice. I gained a huge amount of knowledge from that book to the point I now have his whole series.
For a good book on all aspects of lawn care it has to be "Modern Lawn Care" by David Hedges-Gower.
I have a copy myself and it's a very easy and informative read with plenty of good pictures.
