Isn't it only for paying members??.
Discussions go into more detail without access by the general public.
Hi Glen
The BOG is an extra tier to LJN.
As Andrew says, it's a place for members to discuss sensitive issues out of the way of potential clients.
Revenue from Pro members also goes toward the upkeep of the site.
Ah ok, thanks for the replies guys.
I'm in my second year of BOG membership and it has made me take a whole different view of certain business matters.
My wife has commented that BOG participates are real business minded people, after I have talked about matters under discussion, unlike the members of a couple of other forums I take part in.
In fact LJN BOG discussions tend to be the only forum discussions I tend to discuss with my wife, as other forum discussions tend to be considered a waste of time by her!
I wish we had a like button, Andrew :)
A place to tell 'how it is'
A place to learn how others really feel
A place to discuss real business
A place to get down to the nitty gritty
But mostly an opportunity to support Phil, for putting together this great resource and sharing the ongoing costs
Plus 1 :)
One can be sentimental about supporting LJN etc, which in itself is no bad thing. BUT, for me, on a hard commercial standpoint, the BOG is the best value investment of £40 I make each year; the advice shared is very valuable and insightful. In my first season of listening / asking, I made changes based on sound advice given to increase revenue by over £4000...thats a hundred to one return.
If you've a problem, don't re-invent a solution in isolation, look in the BOG archive and usually there lots of historical discussion about every aspect. It's a great resource.
Some people are against the privacy & subscription aspect; but both of these are important to creating the right environment for open discussion, contribution and giving something back to others without obligation.
Agreed Andrew & thanks for everything that you contribute in the BOG. A lot of the experience & advice that you have shared on there has been extremely helpful to me.
