Blog writing - keeping a website fresh and up to date

I am just doing a bit of market research.How many of you write a regular blog? Do you have access to your website content so you can post yourselves or do you have to send your copy to your web designer?Do you start off with good intentions and then run out of steam?Do you see the point of keeping your website dynamic or is all this online content just another job to do?Do you think your potential customers check out your testimonials and case studies on your website?I would welcome your thoughts.
