Block paving challenge

Phone call:

Commerical  Client : "Can you or one of your Teams pop over to 'XXX' location we've taken on and quote to re-sand the block paving? Tenants / owners have complained about it."

Me : "Sure, I drop by in the next few days and revert to you with a Quote"

Two days later:

Me : " Hi, visiting the site. How long has it been down ?

Commercial Client : "about 15-18months"

Me : "Suggest we take it all up and start again. "

Commericial Client : "You taking the Mickey ?

Me: "Hold on, I will email you pictures from site"

Commercial Cleint : "Oh F**k. How busy are you guys...?

Its a main access road in, bounded by kerbs (which won't have moved I suspect)

Done by Subbies for a large well known Development company.

What ever happened to the Old role of "Clerk of Works"

We could be on hands and knees again :(
