Use a quality sealant. Dont be tempted to buy something cheap because you only get what you pay for. If it was my patio I would be using Dry treat enhance plus or lithofin stain stop plus. Both products are impregnators so as well as enhancing the colour of the stone they will also provide a good level of protection.

Steve,
thanks, gone well past the point of buying cheap in this game! The Khota black limestone was exactly that when laid. i.e. black. Its now weathered to a grey colour. Will the lifothin bring it back to the black? I know they do a colour enhancer for slate, but it appears to be for internal use only
Either of the 2 products i mentioned will do the job Thermo. IMO Dry treat enhance plus will give the best performance but lithofin will also give you a decent result. If you do opt for lithofin, make sure that you buy lithofin stainstop plus.
