Biodegradeable trim line

In these 'green' times, how many of you have considered how many tiny shards of waste plastic we are putting into the environment using strimmers. I trade as a wildlife-friendly gardener and used long-handled shears exclusively for the first 15 years. One customer with a large lawn insisted I use a strimmer and bought one for me ! . As and I've got older, I've found myself using it a bit too often !  I've just been told that Oregon sell a biodegradeable trim line so I've just ordered some. Doesn't necessarily mean it's all good , but just trying to continue 'doing my bit'...........................Anyone using it yet ?

Hi Jeff, We use Oregon biotirim. It works ok on my cordless strimmers and fairly light work (most of what we do). Biodegradable line should be mandatory really, all of those little bits of plastic are unnecessary.
