Been planting

Hi

I had a whole day of up-routing, splitting and re-planting Alchemilla Mollis today. Up until 6months ago, I would never have said I would enjoy gardening like I do, and it was pretty chilly with a chilling sea breeze to compound the cold but I had an amazing day and it did warm up.

I started my education is plants this week and I didn't realise, just how involved gardening would be, I take my hat off to all you that've spent your life learning and working in such an amazing field.....

  • and the really amazing thing is that next year your client garden will be fantastically more floriferous than this because of your dedication in the cold today. - Welcome to the wonderful world of plants.

a little knowledge goes a long way - enjoy and don't be afraid to ask questions, - the more you learn, the more you'll want to know

  • A true word Claire. I really do enjoy it, my head hurts with slightly too much information today but its great and thanks

  • Glad you're enjoying it, but, Alchemilla Mollis?, nasty, invasive , pernicious pest. It's the bane of my life in some gardens i attend.

    I wouldn't split it i'd get rid.

    As you were :)

  • Yeah I get what you mean Phil, its simply to cover small boarders and to corner where Roses are now growing. I like Mollis if I'm honest, the leaves look stunning how they retain the moisture at the tips of the leaf, they just take some care, although they're put to grow over the edging.
