Bannerman Ba 4

Evening All,

I recently bought a Bannerman Ba4 aerator; Although not available here in Belgium I researched it alot before buying and decided it was the machine that best suited my business.I mailed Bannerman in Canda to ask if they could supply me with everybit of information available about the machine. In reply they advised contacting the supplier in Britian, I did email that companyabout a purchase but didnt recieve a reply. In fairness I never chased them up over it and ended up buying the machine off another company.Anyway theres a part of the machine im not quite sure about. From the pics provided can anyone tell me what A) it does ,and B) what oil I need to put in it, its empty I checked.Any help would be very appreciated.

  • Are you referring to the silver casing ? I think so, it is the reduction gearbox.

Honda say use engine oil, same as engine, but really need to be sure - which engine is it?

    • Hi Scott,

      • Yeah sorry I should have been more specific. Yes it is that silver casing. The engine is a gx 120 as Graham points out below..unless something got lost in the delivery , there was no mention of it anywhere in the info I received..
  • I have a bannerman, and that part is full of engine oil. As Scott says, it's the reduction gearbox, and I believe the engine is a GX120 - manual here: http://engines.honda.com/parts-and-support/owners-manuals/GX120

    The manual recommends 10w-30

  • Thanks for everyone's help. I got in contact with blade machinery this morning.  Got it straightened out..now if the spring wouldn't mind starting!!!

    • Hope you enjoy using it. Get ready for a workout the first time though, it had me acheing in places I didn't know existed :)
