Balcony Planters and automatic watering system recommendation request

Doing a large balcony (8 x 3 meters). Thankfully it has a tap. So I need a source for sturdy frost proof rectangular planters. I am thinking fibreglass? A bit lighter than terracotta, but sturdier than plastic. The ones in my local garden centres are too small.

As to the watering systems I saw some at B&Q but not sure if they are sturdy/dureable. Does someone have a particular make they can recommend?
