Stihl BR600 is the best, about £500 new, used mine everyday for 3 years now not a single problem.
I couldn't imagine running my business without it, it must have saved hundreds of hours of clearing up in the past couple of years.
It's one bit of kit, which is relatively expensive so buy the best you can to make most use of it.
Second other's comments about BR600.
An amazing piece of kit that shift huge amounts of stuff
I agree..great yokes, but do you need a backpack one unless you really need all that power. I use a hand held one which is really easy in and out of action, and does for most jobs.
It's the one tool that comes to every single job.
I bought a second hand BR380 a couple of years back (£125.00) it's not top of the range but a tough as old boots and has enough power for big leaf clearance if you want it to ;-) wouldn't be without one now !
Makita 4 stroke, BBX 7600. Ultra low vibes, much quieter than 2 stroke, no mixing, no fumes, starts first pull, never use choke, ear defenders not essential for modest jobs. Parts easily available.
I don't bother with a hand held anymore.
i use a handheld but a few jobs i now do could do with some more power but dont wanna go to mad on spending is there an older model thats nearly as good as thw br600 i could look out for ?
