Today I have been getting prices for my autumn lawn feed, quite a few suppliers have not got any to stock yet, others say give me your details we will get back to you within the hour, no ring back after 4 hours.

Best I have managed is Rigby Taylor own brand 5-5-10 +FE started at £30.80 + VAT after  told them it will be by the pallet they dropped to £16.00 a bag pro rota +VAT.

3-10-5, £15.00 + VAT by the pallet not in till next week.

Is Rigby Taylor feed any good?.

Can any one recommend other supplier who is competitive on price.

Also after a good professional  fert spreader, nice man at Green tec offered me a SR500 rotary for £500 all in, looks a good spreader at a good price, any views?

I would also consider a drop spreader as I feel that a DS would be better for over-seeding along with possible application of dry loam + the more control on fert application even if more passes would be required.

It's been reduced to £19 a bag not sure what kind of deal you could get on a pallet though.

Ive just bought a earthway ev-n-spread 2050 here

I've done a couple lawns with this and had good results and it seems to be pretty well built at a reasonable price. You can cover a really big area in a short amount of time.Depends if you can warrant £500 on a pro model, I couldn't as I don't have enough lawn care yet.

I use that ( got some delivered yesterday).

Spot on feed and I'm very happy with the results.
