can i employ someone trainee for £107 a week for 5 x 9 hour days? £27 a day ?
yes, if it is part of the apprenticeship scheme with a training provider. For a year only, while they complete the qualification on day release at college.
My apprentice is on this structure however I pay him more than the requirement, He does not attend the collage, collage come out to him one half day a month to assess him and give him more homework/assignments to complete.
I had to guarantee him a minimum of 30hrs a week, collage accepted that because of our industry I can work him longer in summer less in winter as long as it averages out over the year, he is nearer 42 Hrs average.
The collage also give my company £1500 for taking him on, they have give him a first aid course and he takes his PA1 -PA6 tests tomorrow did his learning 2 days last week, I only paid £200.00 towards this.
The lad is top he will have a job waiting when he completes and I will then start another apprentice however this lad will take some beating.
Mine found me
After he had sent me is CV 3 times in 3 months I knew he was keen
Approached the college they said he and I both meet criteria's required and then I started him on his road to being a Lawn care technician, with gardening qualification as well
