Applying weedkiller during drought

Hi all.Couple of clients wanting an application of weed killer to clear their block paved drives. Rain is forecast on Wednesday (4 days times) and everything is extremely dry. Question being; is it best to wait until after the rain so the leaves have a better chance of absorbing the weed killer (glyphosate being foliar).Or would it be better to strim the shrivelled leaves and then wait for the next set of true leaves to appear. - The added benefit of it clearing any annual weeds so not wasting weed killer and the enviro issues of that.Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
