About the Landscape Juice Network

Founded in 2008. The Landscape Juice Network (LJN) is the largest and fastest growing professional landscaping and horticultural association in the United Kingdom.

LJN's professional business forum is unrivalled and open to anyone within within the UK landscape industry

LJN's Business Objectives Group (BOG) is for any Pro serious about building their business.

For the researching visitor there's a wealth of landscaping ideas, garden design ideas, lawn advice tips and advice about garden maintenance.

As i'm now on my 140th border design, and have done over 200 consultation in local gardens, i've amassed rather a lot of photos, and sorting through them has become a bit of a nightmare, so i've invested in Lightroom 4 so that I can properly catalogue and access them.

However, all the video tutorials and the book that i've bought talk about folders only being by date of photos taken. - If I was a professional photographer recording weddings or shoots on a particular date, I can see that this would be the most logical, but I want to keep records of gardens over a period of time,

My question is, - are there any other designers or landscapers out there using lightroom? and do you use metadata to sort your photos, or folders?

  • Hi Bob, thanks for the links, - I've got the Catalog stuff covered tho for all my new photos, - just hoping to find someone who's already set up lightroom, and how they've worked on all their older photos, and how they rearrange and name their client photos.

Made fantastic progress this evening though, a fantastic tool.
