Anyone used a velky ?

Thinking of buying a velky (trailed chariot) for use behind a scag to help when ride on mowers are broke or out on other jobs. They are popular in the states but I've never seen one here. I've only seen the trailed seats you see behind cylinder mowers.I'd like to know if anyone has used one and how they got on with it ?Cheers, Mike.

Seen them but havent used one, however we did just purchase a Great Dane Super Surfer zero turn machine which is similar. Great machines but its a sore shift cutting grass all day on it. Feet and knees take a pounding.

  • Would like a stander but I've just done in a fortune on a hydro 100 high tip. Hence the need to look for cheap solutions for the rest of this season.

What's worse, sore feet and knees or the infamous 'baboon arse' you get from a ride on ?

Sorry to hijack the thread....how is the hi tip on the hydro 100?

  • It's great, I worked out a while ago that high tip is essential on a ride on collector. Each cut we completely fill an Ifor TT126(caged). Suppose it adds weight to the mower which might not be so good on soggy ground.
Took a risk with Etesia and ended up with the usual dealer nonsense but all being well, seems ok.

  • used one before, make it abit easier on the feet, just dont try to reverse whilst standing on it unless you want broken knee's/dislocated hip!!
