  • I used to refer to such a procedure as a "Garden Blitz", until I realised this could be highly offensive to certain people, especially of germanic or israeli origin, due to connotations involved in its original meaning, ie blitz krieg, and visons of the luftwaffe targeting some "bomb site" of a garden with teutonic efficiency, ironically the surviving victims of the blitz, children at the time and all elderly now did not object to the term which is also used in American football and is German for lightning
