Another "which mower" question

I have a number of mowers which have all been bought second hand. I have just bought a Hayter Harrier 48 which is good. However, it is incredibly heavy. Fine for a large garden, but not so good for small and Medium Gardens. My most reliable mower is an old Honda HR194 which starts first time even after winter storage. I am seriously thinking about another Honda for the small and medium lawns and speaking to a salesman feel that the Honda HRX 476 with a rear roller could meet my needs. The roller is important because my customers do like the finished effect. Obviously this is a large outlay and wonder if anyone has bought one of these recently and if so, their thoughts. If anyone has further suggestions of what they beieve are better machines, please do not hesitate to suggest - many thanks.

No shame in asking about mowers again its useful to learn when you have to start looking again .

opposite for me i rarely cut lawns but being offered a project which includes lawn cutting as a seperate task at a decent rate but they dont want stripes , problem is my best mower an old viking is more than capable of doing the job but will leave stripes .

Next mower is my old Toro recycler which has never let me down and doesn't leave stripes but leaves a poor finish .

Naturally tempted to go with a Honda izzy and feel the price will be justified on just this one lawn alone , reliability ,suitable for small to medium lawns , some stripe , good finish and peace of mind , reasonable secondhand value if needs be with a Honda .

I bought the 21 inch pro Honda roller mower £1400 at time literally yesterday said I've had it 3 years. Upon checking the plate it's 2016 model so 5 years old. Changed oil snd air filter and spark plug. It's never had any visit to the dealer. I've got 5 other pro Honda mowers oldest 18 years old. I'm selling them and getting either a Honda 21 wheeled mower or the new 3 speed Stihl wheeled mower with a Kawasaki engine I've taken to. Getting the machine on a weeks demo soon. As always stated on here buy something the dealer can support you with. I've bed. Offered a commercial toro at a fair price but no dealer near stocks  toro so parts maybe an issue. The 19 inch Honda you are looking at is a great mower but I always go 21 as access no issues on my lawns

average 36 weeks mow season 5 days a week over 5 years  Is around 900 mowing days.

At £1 a day that's most your money back in 5 years mowing So it will earn its money. It will reduce your tax bill too

    • Thanks, Luke - I reall appreciate your comments. Looks like I need to visit the Honda dealer.
