I have used facebook for advertising but what I've done is just posted on my status about what you should be doing in the garden etc - and it has got me some work from friends and friends of friends etc!
I tried it with probably that firm, I reduced their price from 300 to 49.00 for 100000 impression, it cover the costs but not sure if will work for you.
I think if you wish try it yourself without that firm as a middle man, . I can tell you that I did a free website on the bt google free website and that bring a bit of traffic to my site.
I use I.t. I can not say that I am happy with their service- I had to chase it a lot - and I actually wanted to leave it many times.
I spent about 5 min on facebook trying to do myself a campaign- It seems fairly easy.
the reasponse is very low - just like any advertising on page that is not specific.
What I have read, is that if you create a fan page on facebook and integrate it with you page , it help new visitours to get confident about your website.
I can imgaine that you are too , too busy to start it.
Another thing you can do is vidoes on youtube with libks to your site, give it the title with your keyword, a nice short video about each product, link from that page to your site, use key words and etc and ask people to visit. that for sure will improve seo.
my clip ( with very bad accent from my first year in the uk) about how to install edging : had more than 30,000 impressions.
you can use these clips at yopur sit too and on many places. hope it helps.
Thanks Ofer
When I asked these people what the cost per mil was and what was the likely click through rate to my site they couldn't tell me. I explained to them that I was not interested in how many page impressions there were but on how many people visited my site.
Your experience seems to confirm my doubts as to its effectiveness.
I am very wary about facebook I don't quite get it yet and it doesn't seem that targeted to what I have to offer.
I have made two videos so far both are posted on here and on Youtube as well as my website Assembling an arch in under three minutes.
I've advertised with Facebook using the free £25.00 vouchers for a few of the websites I own.
I found that 1) £25 doesn't go very far at all and 2) The targetted audience is far too wide geographicaly for my business.
I found it better to create a group page based on your business and post updates to it with hints and tips as mentioned already.
here,
that is for you,
