Advertising on Bark

Hello allI know a few of you have mentioned getting work through online agency Bark in other conversations I wondered how many of you have used it and how you've found it for actually finding work. Do you find that the leads are more often than not only thinking and researching what they want done, and if more than one professional responds, do you find yourself in a bidding war to get the job.I don't like the idea of paying money to get leads which may well not then employ you anyway. I know this is a risk with all advertising, but I've read quite a few bad reviews from traders who feel that it is not worth the outlay and in fact when they don't get any jobs from the leads, or the leads turn out not to be 'real' (phone numbers not working for example) getting their money back is extremely difficult. I've seen very good reviews from most end users but I wondered how Bark get their leads. If I do a google search on gardeners Bark is not something I recall seeing near the top and also how many people would actually go through an agency like this to search for traders. What makes it seem worth their while to use them?Any thoughts about this service would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to lose out on decent jobs, but I don't want to get fleeced either! They keep badgering me in my email inbox and often that isn't a great sign.

Hi Angela Having used bark in the past ( i still have an account ) but not used them in a while , my personal experience of bark was very positive from the customers i did work for .

All forms of advertising i find will attract a percentage of people looking for the cheapest deal and others looking for the most suitable business to meet their requirements where cost comes second to good service .

Also people will use you for research , ( pick your brains ) which creates a dilemma i.e if you dont share knowledge they might think you are not up to the job , Then if you give too much away they might use it to do the job themselves .

Bark attracted a good cross section of leads from my experience  perhaps because its online naturally it will attract a lot of internet traffic as opposed to the letter box advertising methods , meaning you might be dealing with a lot more leads , some negative and some positive .

Never being badgered by Bark personally i found it a straight forward good experience , easy to navigate and used it with realistic expectations .
