Richard, lots of folk can remove the ABS light from the dash for much less than a Ford Dealer would want ''to look deeper at the issue''....kerching.
At MOT the ABS would be checked, failure shown then. Light removed before MOT would be my route, on the basis all else is functioning correctly with the brakes (and under load too!).
