Not often I go off topic, but back from 8 days at possibly the best motor race meeting in the world - The 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The old grey cells recharged, much fun had with 9 other good mates, plenty of debates over many beers, some great food and sights, interesting weather helped keep us awake but given our tents were within 100m of track the cars helped. We joined the 265,000 (yes, that's right) who attended the race with an estimated 80-90,000 Brits making the pilgrimage over the channel.
Stuning to see these LMP1 Cars go so fast, defy laws of physics around corners almost like Scalectrix cars.
Most evocative car/noise? The Aston Martin cars...but such a sad end in the 23rd Hour.
The most mesmerising moment - visiting the Hotel De France in La Chartre sur le Loir, some 30 miles from Le Mans where teams in the 50's based themselves. The history on show is stunning with some great cars making a special showing.
Oh...the race ? Posrche won...but then they had to ;) ...Long live Porsche & great to see them suceed in several classes.
Make time to do those things that are important to you.....

First petrol win since Audi dropped petrol, pretty impressive to beat them although it could've been closer I think the audi had some issues?
Shame the nissans were so disappointing, hopefully they get their ERS system sorted quick;y.
