A first for me....

A first for me... gardening with engine hoist, rotten wooden planters being replaced with galvanised bespoke ones  - all went to plan, 2 done, 4 more to do when the blacksmth delivers enough bolts to assemble the planters... which he delivered as flat pack... over 80 bolts per planter cry13689604857?profile=RESIZE_710x

That looks useful. What's it like moving across the ground though? Looks like it would only work on a nice flat surface

Yes .... it needed the hard surface - we have plans to use it on the beds to remove a shrub in the Autumn - I think we will need a few scaffold boards strategically placed

Great idea compared to the timber ones which can be a nightmare once they age .

    So many bolts though .

A good idea would be to have one side of planter tongue and groove so you can slide it out when it comes to removing whatever plant is in there and replenishing compost .  As we know once compost compacts and you get a big root ball to remove it can be frustrating .

Although suspect many years from now and they look nice .

An excellent idea.... too late for us though.... yes, a ridiculous number of bolts - I think they will last until we are all 6' under ...they are incrediblly heavy when assembled

80 bolts. Job for a screw gun.

THats what I thought before I got there... but I didnt have the right size bit :( :(   So it was a ratchet spanner the whole way

Ratchet spanner? That would drive nuts and bolts. I would have gone straight to nearest tool supplier.
