it looks good enough to me Steve. the sizes are the most important aspect and coverage per pack in my opinion. oh and a nice reasonable price lol
Suitable for driveways? Not saying it can't be used, but it would not be my recommendation.
IMHO!
Steve, it looks pretty good to me. Good clear advice, pricing, area coverage and reference photos. I may be biased though, I've always liked your website for clear info and pricing. One thing that always drives me crazy is sites that don't have a price guide on them - nothing worse when you are trying to work out a price in the evenings!
I would agree with you too a point John but I think there is such a broad range of sandstones available that its impossible to say that sandstones across the board arent suitable for driveways.
I would definately agree that some of the softer Indian sandstones are not suitable for driveways (and this is because of stainning & maintenance, not strength) but I have seen the hard sandstones from Kota used for driveways on many occasions with no problems. Also I have seen black sandstone used on driveways with no issues whatsoever.
I would always say that concrete block paving is more suitable for a driveway than any kind of natural stone but sometimes people want to use stone and when they do you need to steer them towrads one that is going to provide the best performance
Its good feedback though John and I will definately be reviewing any products which we have said are suitable for driveways

To be honest I have never understood companies who dont give prices on their website. The price is the piece of information people want above all else because a product that is out of budget will be instantly ruled out and everybody is working to some kind of budget. Cant think of any good reason why a company wouldnt display their prices. Clear pricing shows transparency and avoids confusion and like you say its also handy when you are browsing of an evening as most of us do

Steve,
Excellent information, easy to find, user friendly and quick to load up.
Thanks Craig
Thanks Craig
I am really glad that I made this post. I put a smilar post on landscape hub aswell and I have had 2 pieces of really good feedback:
1. From John above regarding sandstones suitability for driveways. We will be reviewing this
2. From Gary Cobb regarding splitting packs of paving
If anyone else has any feedback I would like to hear it
Thanks
Steve
The page looks good. The description is fair.
"Before buying this product we recommend that all customers read buying guide" Wasn't too sure where to look for the buying guide. I thought the buying guide might mean 'ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW' which is linked in the bottom left hand corner.
Clicking on this link brings up an extended page with the following on (entitled Product Information):
Still not too sure if this is the intended buying guide? Maybe worth linking out from the words 'buying guide' and to avoid confusion, bring the titles together to read the same (unless I'm missing something, I'm easily confused;-0))
I had read John and Gary's comments and agree.
Other thoughts as dodging a downpour
Is there a reduced price for a patio pack? And what size is it?
What happens if a slab is broken in transit.
Feel London Stone is doing an excellent job and very focussed on their customers.
Will there be an approved installers scheme in your future?
Craig
Thanks Phil, you are absolutely right in what you say and you have highlighted 2 things that need to be addressed.
1. We mention that customers should read the buying guide but in the tab you have pasted we call it the product guide
2. We dont tell people where to find the buying guide.
I will address both these oversights. Thanks for the great feedback Phil :)
