Extending Ladders

Last year I took on wall ivy trimming job, 2 walls, max height about 7m. We used tripod ladders and a platfrom ladder to get to the eaves.

Edge guard on a spreader

Just a quickie if I may as I don't have an edge guarded rotary spreaders. When spreading with the guard in use do they throw out the same amount but onto only 50% of the normal spread ? in which case two calibrations would be needed. Thanks in advanc
