Autumn colours

Following Phil's lead, here is my contribution to the "aren't the colours wonderful this autumn" discussion....

Its a Rhus typhinia dissecta, photographed on the nursery a couple of weeks ago, but still looking lovely today.

    Technical question for Phil/Craig :

    I tried to upload this last evening, but after waiting maybe 15 minutes each time, I gave up. This morning it uploaded in < 30 seconds. Was the network running badly last night ?

    I was not aware of any problems with the network last night. Did you try and load the full photo or was it resized?

    That is fantastic Nick - I hope that you do not mind but here too is a Rhus which is growing in my neighbours garden; this one is also on fire.

    Virginia Creeper is also having a good autumn. It has been so dry here and we have also experienced very little wind which is helping to preserve the leaves and of course prolong the colours too.

    Might have been a techie thing within the service as I noticed a short period of downtime.

    The image though is quite large, I don't think there is a limit on size, but at over 1meg that could have been an issue, but as you have loaded it quickly this time around I'd side with techie troubles.

    PS - must agree absolutely stunning colours!
