Awkward Site.

Hi, great site, only just discovered today.I`ve got an awkward site to maintain at present, its an apartment block that has its gardens on high walls an very steep, stepped gabions. I`ve been instructed to plant climbers or trailing plants that provide good cover and colour. My question is how do i plant on gabions that are very steep with no way of watering the plants?? The plants that have been planted have already died.

  • The best solution would be to get plants that can grow in dry, sunny places. I know ... it seem very obvious but the needs of plants are very often ignored. If you could uplode some pictures of the wall, I would be very happy to suggest some species.
