Hi Adrian,
While it always best to have two knapsacks, when you are first getting set up, there is the cost to look at too. If you are only spraying lawn selectives and fertilisers, then you can probably get away with just using one and making sure you keep it cleaned out. We have a product called All Clear that will not only decontaminate the sprayer, but will also stop you getting any residue build up that could bung up your nozzles.

Hi Adrian,
I definitely prefer the reassurance from having a knapsack dedicated to each job/ type of weedkiller. Tank cleaners are a definite but from a pure business point of view the time to triple rinse your tank, finding an area suitable for wash-out and locating a water source on site can be problematic. All knapsacks are not made equal but a good quality second knapsack is worth carrying on the van IMO.

I currently own 4 different knapsacks, each for different tasks. They are all different brands and marked with tipex as to what I use them for.
i.e.
Hard surface cleaner (Cheap generic sprayer 20L)
Selective herbicide (BERTHOUD 16L)
Total herbicide (Hardi 20L)
Iron / insecticide (Cooper Pegler 20l)
I'm thinking about buying another one for insecticide use to & will probably buy another BERTHOUD as it is my favorite out of the bunch.
Just a side note, don't mix Relay with any Iron as it will solidify in the tank.
I use two, one for Glyphosate, and the other for Grazon
same i have 3/4 berthound / cooper / proturf and old/cheaper ones if req...
time = money or less headache ! mark up with pro-greens free stickers/i.ds
