I recently took a redundancy package after working for many years as a catering manager for a major contractor within the catering industry. This has given me the opportunity to re-train and to pursue other interests. I am currently attending a college course 2 days a week to gain a Tech' certificate in plumbing and I hope to qualify fully within the next 3 years. My wife has always been the true gardener in our partnership and over the years her enthusiasm has helped to stimulate and develop my own interest in gardening albeit in a limited capacity. As a result and together with a need to bring in some income to support me through college, I brought myself a van, mower, shredder and other essential tools (A challenge in itself). I then registered selfemployed and set myself up as jobbing gardener doing some of the less technical work. I've really enjoyed working outside throughout the summer months and whilst I've picked up a lot of useful information there is still an enormous amount of knowledge yet to learn. Looking forward to increasing my knowledge and building up a small gardening business based around quality of work, honesty and integrity
