I run a postal garden design business, to provide professional-quality designs by post and web. I trained in garden design with the Open College of the Arts (OCA have stopped offering garden design courses unfortunately, as I would recommend them.) I have a cottage garden and am a member of the Cottage Garden Society; I enjoy growing things from seed. creating a space for wildlife and growing organic vegetables and fruit. My blog uses my garden as a starting point for tips and ideas.

Hi Jane, thanks, I have only just finished at Merrist Wood college a few weeks ago (v. mature student) now have an NC Hort (Dist) and now need to decide when to give up my day job and do something with it, inexperienced professionally but not practically.

As I've only just become a pre-reg member of SGD I haven't been to anything yet, but there are a couple of garden visits and a summer bbq, so should get to meet other designers. They seem welcoming anyway which is good. Regards Sally
