Natural products that can invigorate the soil around the roots such as spent manure are best but failing that a dose of NPK (Growmore) around the root structure when it is damp will help.
Having said that, if a Cherry tree is in trouble it is usually down to age and being past it's best.
I will try to look up the details but I am aware of new laws in London that automatically protect a tree.
It is very important for the protection of the back garden from development!!!!!! We also have a large Bay Tree near by
we will try to have listed.
