After you have pressure washed your driveway, once a year or every other year you should seal your driveway for protection.
Most people know the area you are sealing has to be bone dry in-between the joints otherwise the sand gets moist and the sealant does not take properly resulting in problems and generally a waste of money.
I want to point out another issue that I have had. I used Oil Stain remover on a block paving driveway I done not to long ago. After pressure washing I came back after 4 hot days, checked the joints and they were bone dry. I used the finest Kiln sand and the Sealant from Resiblock to seal the driveway.
A few days later the customer called and said the patch where the oil was, the sealant had not taken and left white marks.
I went to check on the drive and long and behold the exact area where I applied the oil stain remover had white marks in between the joints.
I went back re clean the area (took just as long as the original clean as the sealant is like solid glue)
I have been told by Resiblock to hold fire as the Technical Director at Resiblock said the same thing might happen if I re-sand and seal.
I will post the rest of the story in a few days once resolved.
