planting veg

I have been in the garden thismorning to finish planting out my seedlings of broad beans and curly kale. Have had to shuffle lots of things around to make space for them! It is the first time I have attempted to grow vegetables ( apart form runner beans a few years back! ) I'm hoping like all other gardeners that it won't be such an arctic winter this year. How I hate the snow!! some of my plants are still recovering from the cold which last winter brought.

Has anyone grown Romneya? I know it needs a sheltered warm spot but does anyone have any other useful tips? it is such a beautiful plant- how long does it flower for?

"I've done 5ft Thorne troughs. Very easy to plant just got a mini digger dug the trench then drop them in couldn't be easier however £250 per m does seem expensive. "
