New organisation to continue Britain in Bloom work

A federation aimed at continuing the work started by community gardeners across the UK has been launched.

The Bloom Federation comprises the RHS and 16 regional and national Britain in Bloom groups.

The aim of the federation is to increase the scale and impact of the Britain in Bloom activity, and its creation comes as the RHS Britain in Bloom campaign celebrates its 50th anniversary.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, people will be ‘Growing for Gold’ as the 2014 theme of RHS Britain in Bloom with half a million sunflower seeds sown in public spaces by gardening groups.
