Makita Launches New Self-Righting Site Light

Makita Launches New Self-Righting Site Light

Makita have launched their latest addition to its range of LED site lighting solutions - their self-balancing area sit light. The DML810 18V Self Righting Site Light LXT has the option for corded or cordless operation, and delivers up to 5,500 lumens (lm) and 360 degree illumination.8679842484?profile=RESIZE_710x

The self-balancing design is perfect for the hustle and bustle of busy sites - the design allows for the light to remain upright even when knocked or bumped. It provides high quality illumination through its 202 super luminous daylight white LEDs, which cuts out the heat element often found with halogens and incandescent lights. It also has three operation modes to adapt the light to your needs, as well as three direction modes. The light can be set to High (5,500 lm), Medium (3,000 lm) or Low (1,500 lm), and can light 360 degrees, or 180 to the left or the right.

It is also diverse - offering either corded or cordless operation, it uses two Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries which is uses one by one, which allows it to deliver up to 15 hours of continuous illumination on its Low setting, or up to 3 hours on its High setting. In case of issues with the power source, the batteries also function as a back-up.

The robust unit measures 787mm high and 420mm wide, and is water and dust resistant, and has a IP54 rating when using its battery power. A great feature of the DML810 is that each unit is able to connect together using the AC inlets and outlets to illuminate the whole job site. It also has handles and a balanced side position to make it convenient, easy to transport and store.

Makita’s cordless/battery platform is one of the largest in the world, including 270 products compatible with their Lithium-ion LXT battery technology. This allows a seamless transition between different pieces of equipment as and when required.

Lyndsey Bailey, Assistant Product Manager at Makita UK said: “The DML810 18V Self Righting Site Light has been engineered to provide a robust, durable and versatile lighting solution that is suitable for the toughest site conditions. The high quality illumination makes work easier and safer, especially as the LEDs eliminate the hazards associated with the heat of halogen and incandescent lights.”
