"Yes but you need so little of it. Here, screened top soil is only £7.50 for half a tonne if you collect it. You might get away with either half a tonne or maybe one tonne. It goes a long way if you are starting with pretty flat ground already.

"No need to rotovate. The ground is currently firm so why rotovate it and then have to compact it all over again.
Spray it and kill it off. Then strim it down low as to leave very little grass. Level up with top soil where needed or even an inch or…"
