The Great British Garden Revival is a new series starting on BBC Two in December, that aims to do for plants what the Great British Bake Off has done for cakes.
Many of the BBC's gardening experts will be tasked with explaining and highlighting some of the country's gardening heritage.
In each episode, two presenters will focus on an endangered aspect of gardens about which they feel passionately and offer hands-on, practical advice to viewers on how they can restore and look after their gardens.
The series will include episodes on wild flowers, front gardens, topiary, roof gardens, cottage gardens, house plants, ornamental bedding, herbaceous borders and kitchen gardens.
The programme will begin on Monday 9 December, 2013 on BBC Two.
