Fereday - soon to be appearing on a table near ?

Just back from London - spent two hours in a room with a bunch of blokes discussing regulation at one of the trade associations.... well, we're all consenting adults and no one gets hurt....It was only a day trip today, so Mildred the capacious back pack was left home alone... but I am back in time to brainlessly fester in the lounge in front of evening telly...I've brought Fereday back a copy of the London Evening Standard and he is now flicking through the job adverts looking for options for when we move down to 'the smoke' - telemarketing has been ruthlessly dismissed (thank god, I don't want to live with a man who spends half the day togged up with a headset like Madonna)....table dancing has been put on the 'possible' list.... he tells me that a good sense of humour is apparently very sexy.... not sure if he means his good sense of humour or that of the potential audience - from a money making perspective, I think it would have to be the latter.... particularly if he's planning on using some of his gardening clobber in his 'set'... that clear visor hardhat thingy ain't gonna hide much..... and now he's typically distracted by something shiny, i.e., the colour photo of the gold inflatable bunny which is hanging in Covent Garden until Sunday.....Good to be home, though... good to be home...

  • Morris dancers outfit, outside Eurostar terminal, St Pancras, Cap on the ground - quids in
  • His baldricks don't cover much and would bring the White Rose into disrepute.... but, still, it's an option....
  • Fast Show Bob Flemming - Very Juvenile but does make me laugh. I have posted this also for intro to Bob's Country Matters

  • Just thought - when I commented 'arse', I was quoting from the Fast Sgow clip, not being mean to anyone!!!

I hope you weren't up all night worrying about that Cat ;-0)
  • No, but I spend most of my communicating life in written form, so I try to be sensitive to how things can be mis-read and mis-interpreted.... I'm still haunted by finding among the comments my boss had made on a draft report: "Please justify".... this prompted me to re-write and add about 10 more pages to set out my argument in minute detail.... The upshot was that "Please justify" was a request to format the paper so that the text lined up on the left and right!!!!!
  • I didn't assume anything else, anyway if I did I am well used to such critique - after all you only have to read some of my blogs and then realise that I actually chat to my wife about such things, (at length), to guess I have a very thick skin. I have to admit it is much easier to write my blogs when you are busy churning out your brilliant blogs as mine can go straight through the radar. Imagine signing up to the LJN clicking on the blog page to be confronted by some of my stuff - Philip Voice would quite rightly be a little dismayed. Off to watch some more Bob Flemming clips - this one almost gave me a hernia - Folkin Classics

"Pro kleen liquid iron sulphate direct from Pro kleen around £21 for 2x5lts delivered. We put 2.5lts in a 12lt knapsack, thoroughly wet area, avoid hot windy days.
Have used it for years highly recommend."

"I haven't use liquid iron but do use soluble iron sulphate, takes a wee bit more mixing as it's a powder but I find it goes further and is cheaper than the liquid, I get mine from agrigem."

2)  For the "goodwill" part…"

"Try using a Turf Teq Power Rake to smooth it out. It will mill off the high spots and work the spoil into the low bits."
