Apply for the RHS/GCA Interchange Fellowship 2014/15 before 31 October 2013, and you could be travelling across the ocean to either intern or study in the USA, developing your skills, knowledge and experience while building invaluable contacts throughout the horticultural world.
This fully funded programme, which starts in September 2014, is open to British university graduates, (or final-year students), with a degree in horticulture, landscape architecture, botany, plant sciences or environmental studies and to British student horticulturists looking for an opportunity to learn about American horticultural practices.
The fellowship is a reciprocal exchange programme, sponsored jointly by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in the UK, and by The Garden Club of America (GCA) in the USA, in association with Longwood Gardens, Pennsylvania, USA.
Graduates wishing to apply have two options:
* To undertake the first year of a Masters course in any field related to horticulture, landscape architecture, plant sciences or environmental studies at a university in the USA, or
* To undertake a 12-month highly structured, stimulating and exciting practical internship in ornamental horticulture, education, library science or marketing and public relations at Longwood Gardens, Pennsylvania.
Student horticulturists can apply only for the internship at Longwood Gardens.
