Experience farming life close to you on Open Farm Sunday

This weekend sees Open Farm Sunday taking place across the UK, offering people a chance to see behind the scenes of the countryside.

Farmers have been opening their doors for one Sunday each year since 2006, offering everyone, both young and old, a chance to discover at first hand what it means to be a farmer.

This year's event takes place on Sunday 9 June, and each is unique with its own activities - based around the farm’s own individual story.

Activities during the day may include a farm walk, nature trail, tractor and trailer rides, pond dipping, activities for children, a mini farmers market or picnics.

You can quickly track down farms open close to you and then look at the event details to find out what is on offer, when and if you need to book.
