Everris Becomes ICL – A Global Player

Everris − providers of leading precision nutrition, growing media, turf seed and plant protection products in the UK − has united with other companies in the ICL Group - Fuentes, Nu3, Novapeak and F&C to form a new global company – ICL.

This integration builds on a rich history in specialty fertilizers, growing media and plant protection products spanning decades. ICL has developed a rich portfolio of products serving the needs of turf and amenity, ornamental horticulture and specialty agriculture with market leading brands including Greenmaster, Sportsmaster, Sierrablen, Osmocote, Peters, Levington, Agroblen and Agrolution.

In the UK there will be a gradual phased transition from Everris to ICL, with the ICL name gradually replacing Everris on product packaging and in marketing and communications through the course of 2015/16.

“This transition to one strong and united company delivers a range of benefits to our customers,” says Stephen Squires, ICL business director for UK & Ireland. “As well as an expanded product portfolio, it means stronger emphasis on innovation and product development together with further integration and optimization of operations in the supply chain.

“Our recent strategic alliance with Yunnan Yuntianhua in China will lead to an expanded ICL product offering, while our extensive R&D programme is set to deliver new soluble PK fertilizers.”

Planned expansion of ICL’s laboratory and in-field research capabilities is set to accelerate product R&D utilizing core technologies, including soluble and controlled release fertilizers. The company is also developing new nutrient efficiency technologies and growth enhancers.

“Resources and know-how have been pooled to create a new centre of excellence and expertise, supported by the ICL Group’s innovation division,” says Stephen Squires. “As well as generating new products and technologies, it is set to deliver improvements to the environmental profile of products and services without a reduction in efficacy.

“Uniting under one name paves the way for strong development and growth for the future.”
