There are some atmospheric and inspiring photographs amongst the winning entries in the Woodland Trust photography competition 2013.
The overall winner was a small cabin surrounded by bluebells, with the mists of Cumbria and a bubbling stream in Cornwall also featuring.
Of the winning entry, judge Simon King said: "This photograph gives a true sense of the beauty and embrace of mature woodland and its importance in harboring all life, including humanity.”
Ashley Chaplin described how he took the winning shot: "The picture was taken in Embley Wood in the north of Hampshire. I happened upon the wood really by accident after taking a wrong turn and wandering down a path to see if there was anything worth photographing.
"I was rewarded by discovering one of the most faultlessly beautiful bluebell woods I have ever seen."
