Arborist works with local councillors to explain role of trees in planning process

Councilllors have branched out in their area of expertise by taking part in a tree-training programme.

Members of East Grinstead Town Council's planning committee admit they have been stumped on occasions in the past when considering applications to reduce or remove trees.

But they now have a better chance of getting to the root of the problem surrounding each case, as they have taken on board the expert advice of an arboriculturist.
