After a full and successful career in the British Army, I studied Garden Design at the English Gardening School based at The Chelsea Physic Garden London. After graduating from the English Gardening School, I set up my own Garden Design Practice, The Garden Path, with the main objective of offering a friendly but Professional Garden Design & Build Service that would be flexible enough to suit all budgets and requirements. I have clients based throughout the U.K. with properties ranging from small town houses to large country estates and also provide freelance garden design to Southern and West Country based Landscape Contractors. I have been the Specialist Horticultural Researcher on three series of the BBC1 TV garden makeover program Garden Invaders working closely with TV designers Charlie Dimmock, Joe Swift and Andy Sturgeon. In 2005 myself and team mate Ian Penny from 'Classic Building' entered the Channel 4 design and build competition The Great Garden Challenge. We built three gardens in the competition making it through to the semi-finals. I have run introductory Garden Design courses at Marlborough College Summer School for three consecutive years and regularly lecture on Garden Design at Ivy House Design School Bath.
