Launches, announcements and prizes at SALTEX 2015

From turfcare and specialist machinery to landscaping and playgrounds, more than 250 SALTEX 2015 exhibitors will bring together the latest products, equipment and expertise. Here, we take a look at just some of the new launches, announcements and competitions that will be on offer at the NEC on 4 and 5 November.

STIHL will be showcasing its newest additions to its cordless range – the BGA 100 blower, the AR 3000 battery backpack and the FSA 90 and 90R brushcutters.

Dennis and SISIS will be launching the new dedicated G-Series range of mowers which will be available in three different sizes - the G34D (34" cutting width), G30D (30" cutting width) and the G26D (26" cutting width).

Check out the Martin Lishman Micro-Spray pedestrian sprayer with an upgraded specification. A 120 litre tank with a 2.5m six nozzle, three section folding boom with break back and height adjustment, independent shut-off nozzle bodies and reduced drift air inclusion nozzles.

The new ATT (Advanced Turf Technology) INFiNiSystem™30 mower brings ‘fine turf quality’ to ‘sports turf’ and provides new flexibility and performance for sports facilities. It also comes with a range of different SMART cassettes.
Line marking innovation is expected from Vitax Supaturf but SALTEX visitors can witness a groundbreaking advance in the way that natural and artificial sports surfaces are marked out. Details will be unveiled at the show.

Also being kept under wraps until SALTEX is the brand new Toro groundscare mower, which is being launched by Lely, and will have great appeal to councils and contractors looking for increased productivity and efficiency.

Branson Tractors has chosen SALTEX for the official UK launch of its new compact tractor range. With an established presence in the USA, Europe and Asia, Branson currently offer tractors from 21-74hp.

Complete Weed Control will be launching a new service - Complete Grounds Maintenance, which includes a comprehensive range of national grounds maintenance services from grass cutting, winter maintenance and shrub pruning to grass growth control and litter picking.
Rigby Taylor will be making a series of major announcements including the launch of an industry-first partnership in pitch improvement programmes and the introduction of new and advanced pitch line marking paints and application technology.

Barenbrug is giving stand visitors the opportunity to win £15,000 in a crack-the-safe competition. The first person to correctly identify the numbers in the right order will win the money.

Proludic is promising a surprise free giveaway, while SCH Supplies is offering the opportunity to meet a special mystery guest who will be unveiling a new product on its stand.

Visitors to this year’s show could also be in with a chance of winning a brand new Etesia pedestrian mower. "At those very low rates Lee, I could find you a lot of work. I effectively pay my strimmer man between £40 and £55 per hour [price per job so the faster he works the higher his hourly rate] and he is using my equipment and fuel."

"I charge £30 an hour for lawn jobs. £20 for general maintenance. The difference is to make up for the shorter season. "
