Warning to homeowners on ‘vogue’ garden makeover scams

Police are advising people to be vigilant if approached at home by unknown workmen saying they can carry out garden landscaping improvements to their property.

The so called ‘vogue’ landscapers promise unsuspecting householders they can offer a complete landscaping ‘makeover’ of their garden – however, please be warned, this work comes at a seriously inflated price.

Gloucestershire Police have received reports of an elderly householder in Cheltenham persuaded to pay £20,000 for landscaping work that has proved to be sub-standard in quality and is still incomplete.
