Based within Weston Business Quarter, 'The Hive' is an exciting new business enterprise hub which aims to provide the best resources for business advice and support. The purpose of this new initiative is to help local businesses thrive and grow and become part of a vibrant business community. Tobermore, the world class paving and walling manufacturer who supply products for the commercial and domestic markets across the UK and Ireland, have provided a stunning look for the landscape at the Hive in Weston-Super-Mare.
With investment from the European Regional Development Framework and funding from Triodos Bank, the Hive has been designed by North Somerset Enterprise Agency (NSEA) to meet the needs of start-up and growing businesses. The modern facilities and the experienced team on board ensure that the centre is dedicated to success. The Hive will also be the new home of NSEA so access to its services and those of its partners, will be available on-site.
The architecture of the business centre was designed by AWW Bristol, who also have bases across London and Plymouth. The building itself, constructed by Henry W Pollard & Sons Ltd from Somerset, incorporates many energy-saving measures and its construction is set to meet BREEAM excellence status.
The impressive building has been accompanied by the creation of a beautiful landscape design, consisting of Tobermore's beautiful Textured Flag in Buff. Textured Flag is one of the premier products in Tobermore's large element paving range. The unique granular surface and mellow colours available with Textured Flag products produce a gorgeous natural and timeworn look. This paving was beautifully laid by MKR Developments.
