Designed by Kevin Brady Architects, the redevelopment of the Rochdale Campus at Hopwood Hall College is phase one of a highly impressive £19 million overhaul at the educational facility which includes a spectacular new landscape featuring an expanse of paving products supplied by Tobermore.
The project was undertaken in 2013 by Warrington based firm, Globe Construction. This involved the construction of a new 6,350 square foot single storey extension which now accommodates a new restaurant and kitchen. In addition, the ground floor facades of the original building at Rochdale have been replaced and a new 1,600 square foot social space has been created within the existing building which is planned to be utilised as a hair and beauty training suite.
The eye-catching landscape has been created with Tobermore’s Textured Flag in beautiful Buff and demure Charcoal. Textured Flag is one of the premier products in Tobermore's large element paving range. The unique granular surface and mellow colours available with the Textured Flag range produce a chic natural look. This product works beautifully with the gorgeous new building at the Rochdale Campus and the attractive scenery surrounding the college.
Hopwood Hall College is a respected vocational institution which provides practical full and part-time courses, including short programmes for the community. As well as programmes for 14-19 year olds, the college offers opportunities for mature students who want to enhance their career prospects, get back into work, or simply want to pursue a course for leisure.
