Just to say I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes, when I've suffered an avalanche, I almost have to wade through files and newspaper clippings. And can I find the one I want? I find the only way to keep a vague hold on things is to have plastic folders assigned by subject to cardboard files and go through them every so often to remind myself what I've got. Except I don't go through them often enough...
