Significant Health and Safety Accreditation for affinity landscapes Ltd

Surrey based commercial landscape maintenance contractor, affinity landscapes Ltd, has again renewed its accreditation from SafeContractor for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.

SafeContractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises exceptionally high standards in health and safety management among UK contractors.

Working across the South East, affinity landscapes Ltd is principally involved in commercial landscape, grounds and estate maintenance, specialising in working with prestigious clients within the Commercial & Residential property sector, who also view health and safety as paramount to successful business operation.

Gary Rees-Keeble, Director of affinity landscapes ltd said, “Throughout our years of trading, we have seen much progression in health and safety policy with in the workplace. In order to offer our clients’ absolute peace of mind, we have invested heavily in the development of our health and safety standards, to reach a level of competency that not only meets, but exceeds the standards required of a contractor. Our accreditation of SafeContractor is testimony to this high standard. SafeContractor accreditation will also enhance the company’s ability to attract new contracts and its commitment to safety will be viewed positively by its insurers when the company liability policy is up for renewal."

John Kinge, technical director of SafeContractor said , "Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place. More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that affinity landscapes Ltd has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector”.

Under the SafeContractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.

Note to editors: SafeContractor is a third party accreditation scheme that assesses health and safety arrangements. Many major clients recognise the scheme and accept the SafeContractor certificate as confirmation of competency.
