A detailed guide has been published into dealing with Japanese knotweed explaining some of the steps you can take to eradicate it, but also the penalties you face if you fail to effectively prevent its spread.
The guidance has been produced by the Environment Agency, the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs and Natural England.
